I learned HTML the hard way, back when there were no tools. All the coding was done with notepad and a lot of trail and error. I’m really glad I don’t have to work that way anymore! I spent 4 years working for an Internet Service Provider in New Philadelphia, Ohio, managing the office and creating websites for clients. I was hired away by Mahon Studios in Canal Fulton and spent 4 years there coding custom database-driven websites, managing google adwords campaigns, and helping with photo and video shoots. I honed my photoshop skills quite a bit there under the watchful eye of Joe Mahon. I then moved to Innis Maggiore in Canton, Ohio, as web developer for year and enjoyed working for a full fledged advertising studio. I also helped manage their hosting environment. Looking to follow the sun, I moved to Sarasota in 2005 and took a Job as IT Manager for Tropics Software. I’ve created hundreds of websites and I really enjoy making you and your business look good. I work hard to optimize your website as I build it to insure that you’ll get the best rankings that you can.
I’m lucky in that I get paid to enjoy my hobby! Being in the IT field there is something new to learn everyday, it never gets stale. I’ve worked in IT for 25 years, as a consultant, or managing small to medium sized companies. I’m well versed in Apple and Microsoft technologies, both servers and desktops. I also have experience managing firewalls, mail filters, mail archivers, routers, SAN, NAS, and a bunch of other impressive sounding acronyms. I can help.
When I’m not geeking I’m usually riding a bike (road, cyclocross, mountain bike) or hanging out at the beach. I have two awesome cats, one with a foot fetish, and one that likes to ride around on my shoulders and loves to go for a drive in the car. One day we’ll try a bike ride.
