Small Jenny Lind with original iron straps and brass buttons (a few have been replaced). The interior has neither tray not lid compartment. The bottom part of the trunk has a wooden lip which prevents moisture or dust from getting into the trunk. Upper part of lock is missing, but is covered by the leather lock cover. Leather on the exterior is new. Interior has been covered with a Ralph Lauren® material. |

This beautiful Jenny has a working lock, new leather straps, handles and leather lid lifter. Viewed from the end, this style of Jenny has a bread loaf shape, which along with the heavy brass nails are it's hallmark. With a rebuilt bonnet box and tray, the entire interior is covered with a beautiful paisley material. The Wood on this trunk is almost perfect! Price: $595. |

This Jenny Lind was in
poor shape when we began on it. The brass lock plate was
missing and someone had drilled a nickel sized hole in the
lock to gain entrance. The bonnet box was broken and part
missing and there was no tray. The leather was all missing.
Now you see what restoration is all about!
The brass lock plate was cut from the
pattern we took off another trunk. New leather was put in
place -- straps, handles, lock cover, the wood cleaned and
refinished and the interior bonnet box and tray rebuilt and
all covered in a Ralph Lauren®
dark blue pattern. It's another gem. If we lived in a
mansion, we'd never sell a Jenny Lind. We'd have a museum of
them! But unfortunately we live in a small house. |
